Pictorial History of Bowls

The first bowls or vessels to be used for eating and drinking were primitive, yet functional. Prehistoric man, noteworthy as gatherer's and collector's, used hollowed out horns and seashells for liquids. As man has evolved, the concept has not changed. What is different, are the materials used and varied designs. The links below give you a clearer accounting and characterization.

Cut 1 lb brick of Velveeta Cheese into 1" chunks, toss into a microwave safe dish and cook for one minute, stir, and repeat at one minute intervals until cheese is melted into a sauce. To this mixture add one can of undrained Rotel* tomatoes. Mix and heat for an additional minute or two. Let the dip stand for 5-10 minutes...if you can stand to wait :) Serve with home-made tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies!
Ask your grocer if you can not find Rotel in the canned veggie isle. Flower Power!

Lovely garden scape

Now this birdbath is the "cat's meow"! An original design by artist Don Drumm, the cat and bird pattern is fabricated from heavy 1/4" galvanized steel and welded into a tripod pedestal, allowing the whimsical scene to be appreciated from all angles. The 24" birdbath pedestal includes your choice of a frosted glass bowl or a flanged polished copper bowl. Although it is a true attention getter as a birdbath, the pedestal and bowl are equally at home indoors or on a patio filled with fruit, candy or floating candles. Handcrafted in North Carolina.
